Cracow Pontifical
Edited by Z. Obertynski

The text is a redaction of the Romano-German Pontifical (a work compiled at Mainz in the mid-10th century which enjoyed awide circulation during the middle ages and ultimately served as the basis for the modern Roman Pontifical); it is preserved as Cracow, Jagiellonian Library 2057, a manuscript possibly written at Tyniec in the late 11th century, and is one of the earliest and the most important witnesses to the establishment of the Catholic Church in Poland. The edition is provided with an introduction (in German) and a full apparatus of sources and parallels to other copies of the Romano-German Pontifical, as well as to various 11th-century English pontificals.
