Catalogue of the Francis Trigge Chained Library St Wulfram's Church, Grantham Edited by John Glenn & David Walsh Founded in 1598 for the use of the inhabitants, this was the first library to be endowed outside an institution; the 300 or so books were acquired in Cambridge, with important implications for the study of the book trade.
